Core Principle: Your food data is stored locally on your device. Compact backups are synced securely via Firebase to protect your history across devices. No account is required, and no personal data is collected.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Data Stored Locally on Your Device (Offline-First) The following information is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to our servers:
- Food entries (names, calories, nutrients, and photos).
- Health goals (daily calorie, macro, and water targets).
- Basic profile info (name, gender, age, weight, height, and activity level).
- Cuisine preferences and created meal recipes (My Meals).
- AI Chat history and individual chat sessions.
- App settings and personal preferences.
1.2 Data Transmitted to Our Servers
- Device ID: A unique identifier used to manage Energy balance and prevent fraud (not linked to your personal identity).
- Energy Balance: Synced with Firebase to ensure persistence across app reinstalls.
- Compact Food History: Text-based data (names, calories, meal types) backed up to Firebase for cross-device restoration.
- Health Profile: Basic metrics (age, weight, height, goals) synced for seamless device transitions.
- Thumbnail Images: Compressed food photos (~40-80 KB) uploaded for cloud backup purposes.
- Temporary AI Processing: Food photos and chat messages are sent to Google Gemini AI for real-time processing; they are not stored on our servers.
- Referral Data: MiRO IDs and referral interactions stored in Firebase.
